Brief Biography
Dr. Patcharavipa Chaijuckam is currently a lecturer in the Department of Plant Pathology, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus. Dr. Chaijuckam graduated Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from University of California, Davis in 2009. Her research interests lie in the areas of epidemiology, population genetics, and diversity of fungal plant pathogens, especially those cause diseases on rice and maize. Her current research plan includes a study of the diversity and epidemiology of downy mildew on maize.

Research Experience
- Determined the population structure of Rhizoctonia oryzae-sativae from paddy rice fields in California by microsatellite analysis.
- Characterized the diversity of R. oryzae-sativae isolates by culture morphology, pathogenicity tests, somatic compatibility groups, single-locus microsatellites, and multi-locus microsatellites and examined modes of reproduction of this fungus.
- Determined antifungal activity of plant products against R. oryzae-sativae for the control of aggregate sheath spot on rice.
