Preparing to Use the Fax Functions

Specify the following settings before sending or receiving faxes.

Step 1	Set the current date and time.	See the Starter Guide.
Step 2	Register your machine's fax number and the sender information.	See the Starter Guide.
Step 3	Specify the receive mode.	See the Starter Guide.
Step 4	Connect the telephone cable.	See the Starter Guide.
Step 5	Select the telephone line.*	"Select Line Type"

*	Step 5 is unnecessary depending on the country where you are using the machine.

Specify the initial settings described in Step 1 when you turn ON the machine for the first time.
