Like

 

ThSL sign [like]  is signed separately from subject and object.

 

1.  In case both subject and object are human,

for example,

                                ÂÒªͺËÅÒ¹ (gloss: “grandmother like grandchild”) “Grandmother likes grandchild.”

 

                The structure in ThSL is as follows

 

[ [ O  IndO ]   [ S  IndS ]    [ like  Ind SŽO  ] ]

 

                2. In case only subject is human and object is not human,

                        for example,

                                                áÁèªÍºáµ§âÁ             (gloss: “mother like watermelon”)          Mother likes watermelon.”

ÅاªÍºáÁÇ                 (gloss: “uncle like cat”)                          “Uncle likes cat”
